The name Miscou is probably derived from Susqu in Micmac language, meaning a low or wet land, referring to the north-west tip of Miscou.
Miscou is in the same time an island and a local district in the New-Brunswick, Canadian province. It is considered as part of Acadia. With 800 inhabitants, Miscou is well known for its beautiful beaches and a peaceful atmosphere. The official name of the district is « île de Miscou » in French, or « Miscou Island » in English.
It is a charming place where visitors can take advantage of a beautiful and peaceful nature.
